What do we do? With what results for our customers? Here are a few examples of assignments we’ve carried out in recent years.
Public-sector players also have a role to play in responsible purchasing. Like RIVP, a major player in the social housing sector in Paris, which BuyYourWay has been supporting since the end of 2019 in :
– drafting CSR criteria and clauses for suppliers
– training teams of buyers, internal specifiers and the company’s various key functions in the use of these clauses, as well as in the integration of CSR in public procurement;
– specific work on a carbon clause, encouraging suppliers to be more transparent about their GHG emissions in terms of scopes 1, 2 and 3.
For the past three years, we have been assisting SYNABIO’s member organic food companies, mostly SMEs, in their thinking about responsible purchasing. Each year, we train a new class in CSR and responsible purchasing, and coach them in mapping the CSR risks linked to their supply chains.
We helped GRDF formalize and deploy its Responsible Purchasing strategy for 2020 to 2021. Mapping of CSR risks in purchasing, definition of responsible criteria to be included in calls for tender, critical review of specifications, creation of specific guides on reserved contracts and social clauses: these are just some of the tools designed to facilitate the integration of CSR in purchasing.
In addition, we have created a 360° training course for all buyers, to help them master responsible public procurement methods (vision, posters, awareness-raising videos, webinars, face-to-face training).
One of the reasons for committing to responsible purchasing is the growing demand from corporate customers for their suppliers’ CSR performance. With this in mind, we had the pleasure of assisting KRAMER GROUP in drawing up its CSR policy and its first EcoVadis rating! A successful gamble, as the company was awarded the “Gold” badge.
BuyYourWay helped Carmila define its Responsible Purchasing strategy. Following a diagnosis, a Responsible Purchasing roadmap was drawn up, and we produced a set of turnkey clauses and criteria to be included in specifications for the purchase of public works and structural works.
Starting in 2018, we supported Louis Vuitton in perfecting and deploying its supplier assessment tools. We thus trained teams in environmental assessment tools and procedures, and participated in the redesign of evaluation grids. We assisted in setting up a sourcing tool and training enabling Louis Vuitton teams to monitor the various requirements relating to animal welfare and traceability issues.
During 2020, the firm supported the Occitanie Region in defining its new Sustainable Public Purchasing policy. To achieve this, we carried out an inventory based on an analysis of the plans and policies supported by the region, a review of the purchasing process and information provided during interviews with 40 operational management staff. We then mapped the region’s CSR challenges across its 60 purchasing categories.
BuyYourWay has been working with SEB to strengthen its Responsible Purchasing policy since 2020: first of all, we carried out a diagnostic and formalized the roadmap for the coming years. In addition, within the framework of the Duty of Vigilance law, a mapping of CSR risks was carried out on 50 categories covering all the company’s purchases. A more detailed analysis of 10 categories (strategic or at-risk) will enable us to identify risks and opportunities and define concrete action plans.
Our firm helped Chanel create an evaluation protocol for paper suppliers and box manufacturers, with the aim of assessing their maturity in terms of CSR and traceability. Our team then analyzed the suppliers’ responses.
BuyYourWay designed and delivered an 18-month training program for the company’s purchasing teams.
Ten training modules were developed to cover key topics such as responsible purchasing issues, the Responsible Purchasing roadmap, and the various tools available to buyers.
We also created a project-based learning path, enabling buyers to apply the principles and tools introduced during the training in their daily work.
In 2017, BuyYourWay supported a famous French Maison in defining its paper purchasing strategy. In particular, we produced product selection criteria and guided the teams in their design choices.
Since early 2021, we have been assisting Saint-Gobain Distribution Bâtiment France in structuring its responsible purchasing approach and training its purchasing teams.
Around one hundred employees took part in a six-month tailor-made program combining videos and in-person sessions.
In 2022, it was the regional buyers’ turn to strengthen their skills!
Our firm built and ran a training course on responsible purchasing for teams of buyers, marketing staff and product managers. A specific module on eco-design was created to reinforce the autonomy of the teams concerned on this key subject in the cosmetics sector.
